I found the ST75F-P for sale as low as $131CDN. This left me quite impressed because not only was it 750 watts, but this is also an 80PLUS Silver rated power supply. The last 80PLUS Silver power supply I reviewed was the 950W GlacialPower unit a couple of months ago, which was exactly $200 more! Doing a little comparison, this new Silverstone is actually one of the most inexpensive 80PLUS Silver power supplies I could find on the market! I was also surprised to see that Silverstone chose a single +12V rail design for this power supply - that will make it a good low-cost supply to power high-performance systems and peripherals (such as SLI/Crossfire setups).
A variety of protection features are also in place on the ST75F-P, including; over current protection, over temperature protection, over power protection, over voltage protection, under voltage protection, short circuit protection and no-load protection. Despite being only $131CDN, these are the same great features we see on every Silverstone power supply, including the very expensive ST1500 that was reviewed a few months ago.
