My first real introduction to Cougar was with the review of their PowerX power supply a little over a month ago. The PowerX was a great 80PLUS Bronze power supply that offered good performance and quiet operation for those not wanting to break the bank on the price tag. Anxious to see what Cougar had to offer in the higher end market, today I have their GX-S power supply on the bench. The GX-S series offers a trio of 80PLUS Gold certified models for those who don't necessarily need the extremely high wattages offered by Cougar's other 80PLUS Gold series, the GX series. At first glance the GX-S seems to be a strong offering in terms of performance and it's specially optimized cooling system, so I can't wait to get it on the bench and see just how well it performs!
