The FP55 came at the right time for me - this is an incredibly simple bay adapter that actually does more than meets the eye. Visually, it's a wonderful looking 3.5" to 5.25" bay adapter with a beautiful brushed aluminum front that is bound to look great in any case. It made a great replacement in my Silverstone KL01 over the included punch-out bay cover that came with the case for mounting 3.5" bay devices (like my card reader). However, it doesn't stop there for functionality on this adapter. You'll notice a bunch of holes punched in the top surface - these are for mounting two 2.5" solid state drives between the top of the bracket and your 3.5" device. Lucky for me this also solved my struggle of finding somewhere to easily mount my new SSD inside the KL01 case too.
A device like the FP55 is bound to go over well for M-ATX and HTPC case users where drive bays are limited, but the possible components needing to be packed inside the case are abundant. Even inside my mid-tower case it really cleans up the open space inside the case by compacting most of my devices into one bay which allows much better airflow from front to back inside the case with more open room.
All the installation screws are included with the FP55 to install all your devices inside it, and then it inside your case. Since it's just basic mounting that's being done, installation was incredibly fast and can really be done by anyone.
