The odds are fairly good that you've never heard of Audyssey before - most people haven't. Yet, you still come in contact with their products on a regular basis; even several times a day for a lot of people! Audyssey are sound people and they employ a lot of engineers, designers and programmers who are all passionate about audio and making it sound as good as they can. A lot of what Audyssey does is found behind the scenes on products you use on a regular basis. Their technology is found in televisions, mobile phones, cars, laptops and even in some professional environments like recording studios. Audyssey also has a small product lineup of their own - that is, products you can buy that are manufactured under Audyssey's own name.

Let's step aside for a moment. A few weeks ago I was in Manhattan for the first time. What I remember most vigorously about my visit to the city is the architecture and how every neighborhood had a uniquely different feel from the rest. What's Manhattan have to do with Audyssey and multimedia? The speakers I have here today from Audyssey, the Lower East Side Media Speakers, are actually inspired by Manhattan's lower east side neighborhood. The lower east side is known for it's rich nightlife and thriving music scene and music bars. Audyssey has pulled inspiration from Manhattans' lower east side into the design of these speakers and has paired that with their legendary audio technology to design a pair of speakers that have left me with high expectations!
