Conclusion:
Powerline networking is a great way to further expand your home or small office network coverage without loosing speed. It allows you to bring networking to areas where wireless may not reach (or be an option), and to also expand the speeds of a wired network into areas where running a physical wire might be impossible (like your newly renovated family room). The PA211KIT offers an incredible amount of features in this range and is sure to get the job done for both home users, and power users alike. The setup is nearly instant, which also makes this a networking product you won't have to worry about. At the time of writing this review, the PA211KIT is still so new on the North American market that you won't find it in computer stores just yet. Unfortunately that also means that finding a retail price is next to impossible. Given the great prices I've seen on most other TP-LINK products however, I am expecting that the PA211KIT should have a very reasonable price tag and will likely be cheaper than the same product from any big name competition. When it hits our markets, I highly recommend the TP-LINK PA211KIT as a great powerline networking option.
Pros:
Easy way to expand your network and maintain high transfer speeds
Speeds up to 100mbps (Faster than some power line products on the market)
Incredibly easy setup
Performs great
Cons:
North American availability is still sparse - this should change in the coming months though.
(UPDATE 2011/07/01 - since the time of writing, the PA211KIT is now available at most major retailers that carry TP-LINK products, including Amazon, Newegg, Buy.com, Fry’s, Micro Center, etc.)
