Installation:
Installation went without a hitch and I found the NC-U6 very easy to install. My motherboard uses the plastic pop-through style of mount to fasten the NC-U6 onto the board and I particularly liked Noctua's retention bracket design for this. Compared to several others I have used in the past I must say this is by far the best design I've used to date. As mentioned earlier in the review this design allows for the NC-U6 to be rotated up to 120 degrees. The mounting bracket you chose must be screwed onto the base. This is done by putting a screwdriver down the hole that goes straight down the middle of all the fins, thus giving you access to the screw hole on the top of the base where the bracket gets placed over.

Because of the flat design this cooler has, the option to mount a fan could be a very easy DIY project to do. For those into hardcore overclocking, that would be a great option to increase the already excellent cooling abilities of the NC-U6.
