As I mentioned earlier, the Wing 12PL series of fans are PWM controlled. By using a standard 4-pin PWM fan connector, they allow the motherboard (or compatible fan controller) to dynamically control the fan speed based on system temperature. If PWM is unavailable on your system, these connectors are backwards compatible with a standard 3-pin fan header too.

The Wing 12PL has a dynamic sound level rated at 10-25.8dBA, with blade RPM ranging between 600-1800 RPM. The three year warranty is nice to see, but with a rated MTBF of 100000hrs, they could certainly afford to tack a few more onto that!
