There are 4 dual channel memory slots on this board as well as 2 IDE and 1 floppy header as is standard on most NForce 4 motherboards. One feature I personally like is the 2 IDE channels. I've seen most new Intel boards leaving out the second channel and only including one but for a guy like me who loves his storage I still happen to have many IDE devices all of which I want to be able to connect! When it comes to SATA, the NF4UL-A9 features 4 high-speed SATA 2 headers. Unfortunately Biostar only includes 1 SATA cable where I've seen most motherboard manufacturers including more.

Moving on to the connections of the NF4UL-A9, there are 2 PS/2 ports for both your keyboard and mouse, 1 serial port, 1 parallel port, 1 IEEE1394, 4 USB 2.0, 1 10/100/1000 LAN and finally 6 stereo plugs for the onboard 8 channel AC97 audio driver.

Installation:
The first thing I do with installation is to install the CPU and memory while the motherboard is still out of the case. This gives me a little more room to work and make sure everything is plugged in nice and snug. I also prefer not to flex the mainboard by inserting these items after the mainboard is mounted on the standoffs.
Once those two key components are in, the next step is to make sure the motherboard standoffs are in the correct position inside the case and that there are no more or less than the required amount. I stress that you double check all the standoffs because if you make one mistake and have an extra standoff mounted you could cause a short circuit on your nice new motherboard, and warranty doesn't cover human stupidity I'm sorry to tell you :)
Once the board is installed in your case the final step is to wire up all your components (power, IDE, etc) and install any expansion cards (video, network, etc)
