Introduction:
One thing people don't consider when their computer starts frequently locking up is the power supply. When something like a CD drive doesn't work, first instinct is just to replace it. But did you know that a bad power supply could cause this? Today we're looking at a neat innovation from CaseBuy which takes away the need to use a multimeter for those who are a little timid with electrical circuits. This neat little device makes testing a power supply fast and easy!

Features:
The EZ Power Supply Tester is very small and compact. It's housed in an aluminum casing with the 20pin plug at one end and molex, P4 and floppy plugs at the opposite end. Written in black on the top of the aluminum is the operating instructions. Everything you need to test a PSU in something pocket sized!
Also on the top is 9 LEDs, each with the voltage line it represents written beside it. These will come on to indicate that everything is fine with that line, and if they don't come on then you've got trouble. For those who need a little more explanation besides the easy to follow instructions that are on the tester, you can go to CaseBuy's website where everything is explained in lots of detail.

Testing:
Since the EZ Power Supply Tester is a tester itself, there very few things that can actually be done to test it! I followed the instructions and tested all of my PSU leads that the tester supports. It functioned fully each time, indicating that everything was working properly.
Conclusion:
Overall the CaseBuy EZ Power Suppy Tester is a great little investment for anyone who is into computers. It makes testing a PSU very quick and easy and can help avoid lots of damage in the long run!
Pros:
Makes testing a PSU very easy!
Can test a variety of connectors
Inexpensive
Can test a PSU very quickly to detect any faults
Cons:
Support for the new 24 pin ATX 2.01 standard would be nice
Rating: 9/10
