Price: $7.99 USD

Introduction:
The basic mod these days is adding a window to your case. Now once you have a window, you want people to see your beauty, right? So after you clean up the wires what do you do? Light it up! That is where these babies come in.

In The Box:
Two Cold Cathode Neon Bulbs
Dual Inverter
Power Adapter 4 pin Female/Male Molex Connector
Power Adapter Switch
Black Rocker Switch
Double-Stick tape for Mounting

Specs:
Dimensions: 300mm x 4mm
Tube Voltage: 524v
Lamp Current: 5mA
Average Brightness: 25,000 K

Features:
Well, it is easy to plug in and then it glows, lighting up your computer. Comes with a rocker switch which is very nice and is easily mountable. If not, you can just stuff it inside behind your mobo tray or something in the on position, like me. Pretty simple, just a Plug-and-Play operation.

Installation:
Well, it is a Cold Cathode, I just plugged it in and taped it up. Being that I didn’t have any previously, I just put them in and left them there. Being myself, I lost the tape, so I had to use my own.

Anyway, as I was installing it, I noticed that the inverter was in a metal casing. Plus!

However, no holes in the casing to let hot air out. Minus! In any case, I always mount cathodes with the inverter outside of a case, so no problem for me.

The case was sturdy, but the case came apart with no problem. However, it wasn’t poorly constructed. I must stress this, this stuff is very good, Sunbeam quality, which is pretty much the standard for Cold Cathodes.

Testing:
I didn’t have any other cathodes to compare this to, except a red cathode. Different colors are visible differently, so I didn’t. However, these are very bright cathodes, pictures really don’t give it justice, especially with flash ruining them.

However, after mounting them in my case, I noticed that each cathode comfortably lit up about half of my case. Perfect.

Bright, clean, excellent. Complimented my blue LED fans perfectly. This was bright, not washed out blue.

Conclusion:
These are definitely great cathodes, and a great price! At $7.99 USD, or about $10 CAD, these are a steal!

Pros:
-Bright and unwashed out colour
-A bargain
-High quality parts

Cons:
-No vent holes in the innverter!?!? I don’t want a fire in my computer!

Rating: 8/10
Great product, but it needs a little more work in the details.
