As with all the Samsung LCD's we've reviewed, the 915N has a native resolution of 1280x1024@75Hz. You may think 1280x1024 would make everything very tiny on a 19" screen but it doesn't. When I compared a 19 inch and a 17 inch LCD beside each other the actual screen size appeared to be exactly the same, just that the 19" made everything slightly larger and a lot easier on the eyes.

The screen itself is a very large 19 inches in size. This is only a couple inches larger than the standard 17 inches that the majority of people run for monitor sizes, but once you use and game on a 19 inch there's no going back! If your budget allows for the difference between the 17 and the 19 inch, I would recommend going straight to the 19 inch LCD. The performance of this monitor is well worth taking that extra step.

Looking at the back of the monitor you'll see ventilation holes running along the top to keep everything cool. Set back in an indented area on the back is the VGA and power cables. These cables plug in vertically and since they are recessed you can very easily mount the monitor on a surface such as a wall and you won't have any interference with the cables being in the way. If you do chose to mount it in an alternate location, it has the holes for a VESA compliant 100x100mm mount to be installed (actual mount not included)
The power supply on this monitor is internal, which I like to see. I personally prefer not to have the power supply external because it needs to be tucked away somewhere. Internal is much easier as you just need to run a power cord straight from the outlet to the monitor, nothing in between.
