Features:
I was very surprised with the number of features this camcorder had both internally and through the many included accessories.

The bundle included with this camera really surprised me. There is the typical accessories which all cameras come with such as power adapter, RCA cable, battery pack etc. But Samsung has also throw in some other awesome accessories such as an included neck strap, USB cable, firewire cable and one of the best which is a tiny remote control. This control can be used to control only the basic recording functions.

On the front of the camcorder you'll find a stereo mic, infrared port to receive signals from the remote and a small IR light used with the NitePix feature for recording in dark areas. The lens itself is capable of doing 20x optical zoom but the really amazing thing is that it can go up to 900x digital zoom! When zooming up to the full 900x it is best to have the camera on a very stable surface. When magnifying something by 900x every little shake will be picked up very clearly in your video. When browsing through the settings you can set the camera to focus automatically or manually depending on how comfortable you are with working that aspect of a camera by hand.

On the left side you'll find a handful of buttons and a 2.5" LCD display. This display can be pulled out and viewed with the screen facing the back of the camera, or flipped so the person in front of the lens can see themselves. This is handy of course for when you are in the video your recording and can run the camera using the remote control and view the resulting image at the same time. A nice thing is that the image automatically flips on the screen to compensate for the LCD now being upside down. Located on the same side as the screen are the buttons to operate the playback of the tape, change some LCD settings and enable EasyQ.
All the main interface plugs are also on the left, a Mic Plug, AC plug and A/V cable plug. The option to plug in an external mic is also available. This can really improve the quality of sound in your videos assuming you're shooting in a location where having to hold or set down a mic is convenient.
