Features:
For the small size of the MiniCam, I was quite impressed at everything it was capable of doing! The six main features are; digital video camera, digital image camera, MP3 player, voice recorder, removable storage device and PC web cam.

First we will talk about the digital video camera function. This is the default mode the camera goes into when you turn the power switch on. It has a nice built in LCD which folds out of the side to see what you are shooting. Recording is as easy as pressing the red record button. As soon as it is pressed the camera instantly starts recording, and as soon as you press it again recording stops. While shooting your videos you can use the 10x optical zoom to get a close up, and there is also a built in digital zoom of 100x, but I found the device did not focus very well when it was turned on, so my suggestion is to stick with the optical zoom. Audio is also captured in the recordings with the PCM mic on the top of the camera. I found that with the mic placed on the top, the sounds of whatever you are recording in front of the lens are not picked up as well. I would have liked to have seen the mic placed on the front somewhere.
When recording video you have the focus options of auto or manual focus. Manual focusing is done with the 2 VOL/MF buttons positioned on the left side of the cam behind the screen towards the front of the device.
