Installation:
The only two PC interfaces the SCX-4100 has is either USB or Parallel. Most people will probably chose to use USB as it is the faster of the two. One minor complaint I have, which I say about all printers, is that I wish a USB cable would be included as the vast majority of people will be using that interface. And again I will say that I can see the cost savings by not trying to guess what people will use. Until there is only one standard interface it is certainly more cost effective to not supply a cable.

Testing:
To test the SCX-4100 I made a variety of prints, scans and copies to try all the major aspects.
Prints look great as would be expected from a laser printer. Everything is very crisp, clear and easy to read. Scans were also of exceptional quality with the 600x600 dpi resolution. What really impressed me is the speed of the copies! Once the unit is warmed up copies can be made in a matter of 2-3 seconds for an entire page! This makes it very ideal for copying in a small office setting where you need exceptional quality and fast speed, all in a small and sleek looking unit.

Conclusion:
Overall I was very pleased with the performance of the Samsung SCX-4100. It's three major pieces of hardware (Printer, Scanner, Copier) packed into one sleek looking and well working machine. It would make a great addition to any home or small office!
Pros:
Multifunction (Scan, print, copy)
Small size
Fast scanning/copying!
Sleek design
Cons:
Should include a USB Cable (I know, I say this about all printers...)
Would like to see a higher opitcal dpi on the scanner, although not really required
for it's intended use as descibed earlier.
