The cable design of this power supply is modular, that means you only plug in the cables you need and no more! All the cables are magnetically shielded and the plastic looming alongside being very durable is also UV reactive which adds an awesome effect for cases with windows and proper UV lighting!
All the cables get plugged into the power supply on the interior side which faces the front of your case. There is a spot for the 20/24 pin ATX connector, 8/4 pin 12V connector, 3 molex/SATA and 2 PCI-E for those running SLI. To the far left of the modular plugs there are 5 LEDs which inform you which voltages are in use. Again, a small complaint I have with these is that each LED should have a lable printed beside it as to what it monitors, I had to pull out the manual to find out what they even did!

The ATX connector on the Magnum is compatible with both versions of ATX including the new 24 pin ATX 2.0. All 24 pins plug into the modular plug on the power supply, but the last 4 pins on the end that goes into your motherboard are removable for those running an older 20 pin ATX motherboard.
When it comes to reliability and power correction the Magnum is loaded! It features Active PFC (power fault correction), OCP, UVP, OVP, OLP and SCP circuits which insure that the system is VERY well guarded against any danger. The unit is also fully certified with EMC/FCC, UL, TUV and CE.
Installation:
Installation of the Magnum did not come without it's problems, none of which were very major though. For the current case I am using, the Silverstone TJ05, the power supply must be installed through the rear of the case by removing a bracket, mounting the bracket on the PSU then sliding everything into the case and screwing the bracket to the back. The minute I stuck the bracket on the PSU there was a minor problem, the bracket is designed to have either an 80mm fan or no fan at all in the back of the power supply and with the huge radiator sticking out the back of the magnum it was catching on some of the triangular corners. Lucky for me we had some metal snippers here and it was an easy 5 minute fix. Note: the press sheet here I have on this power supply warns that it doesn't fit all cases!
The next problem came when I went to stick the power supply in the rear of the case, it was bigger than the hole! Nothing that can be done there, so I had to put it sideways in the case to pull it up over the support rod it rests on then angle it back straight when it was in the upper part of the case. For a power supply of this size it wasn't an easy job, but it got done!

Those were the only two problems I had during installation and depending on your case size and how the power supply is installed in your case it's very likely you may never run across these problems. I would really like to see XGBox work on maxamizing compatibility with the Magnum so that it will fit virtually all cases on the market, I'd hate to see someone buy such a sweet power supply later to find out they can't use it!
