X-Ray Pad Aqua 3 Mouse Surface

Big thanks to X-Raypad for providing the Aqua 3 for review!

Introduction:
Today I'll be taking a look at another mouse surface from X-Raypad. For those who remember I also reviewed their Thunder 8 mouse surface a few weeks ago. The Aqua 3 is a bit different than the Thunder 8 in a few ways. To start with it's almost double the size and it's made out of finely woven fabric as opposed to plastic like the Thunder 8.

In The Box:
The Aqua 3 did not come in any fancy packaging like the Thunder 8 did. It simply came packaged in a transparent plastic bag taped closed at the one end.

Specs:
Dimensions: 15.7"*11"*0.06"(400MM*280MM*1.5MM)
Manufactured of finely woven fabric

Features:
As mentioned above, the Aqua 3 is considerably larger than the Thunder 8. This added size makes sure that you'll virtually never run out of mouse pad while computing. Instead of being made of either plastic or steel like most modern mouse pads are, the Aqua 3 is made out of finely woven fabric. The fabric produces a bit more drag than smooth plastic surfaces but it is also a lot more comfortable on the wrists for those who don't have gel wrist rests.
The Aqua 3 also has a "slip free" rubber base which guarantees that it won't go sliding away during fast mouse movements. And of course being made of fabric the Aqua 3 is very easily washable along with being anti-static and very durable.
As seen in the picture below the Aqua 3 has a stylish logo in the upper right corner which says X-RAY TECHNOLOGY with Aqua 3 written below.

Testing:
For testing the Aqua 3 I will do as I do for all mouse pads. It will be put through a day of regular use, including heavy gaming and regular computer use.
The first thing that I noticed when using the Aqua 3 was that it has considerably more drag than smooth surface mouse pads. It wasn't as fast at reacting during some intense gaming where speed really matters. When just using the Aqua 3 for every day tasks like browsing the internet it performed very well. Being made of cloth the Aqua 3 performs superbly with wheeled mice because the cloth provides a very good gripping surface for the wheel to cling to. When using the Aqua 3 with an optical mouse it also performed very well, the laser was always able to track and the mouse never seemed to cut out.
The Aqua 3 is also very massive in size compared to most mouse pads on the market so I never ran out of surface while using it.

Conclusion:
Overall I was pleased with the Aqua 3. It performed very well in day to day tasks and works well with both optical and ball mice. It's material was very smooth on my wrist unlike some other material pads on the market with rough weaving. For those hardcore gamers out there I would recommend the Thunder 8 Mouse Pad which is also made by Xraypad ahead of the Aqua 3. In my opinion I feel that home users would benefit more from the Aqua 3, and that the gamers need the quick response that the Thunder 8 offers.

Pros:
Large size
Comfortable surface for wrist
Works well with both optical and ball mice

Cons:
None!

Rating: 10/10
