The speaker designs were all great. Both the front left and right channels and the centre channel had multiple speakers in each physical unit. This made them slightly larger, but the extra speakers really added to the overall sound. The front speakers also have a very nice round base on them so they can be easily positioned on any table or shelf. The centre channel is usually meant to be over the TV and in my case it sat very nicely on top of the TV.

Installation:
I found installation of the HT-XQ100T was not very difficult at all. The first thing I did was to position everything where I wanted it. This meant all the speakers, the sub woofer and the receiver. Next I ran the appropriate wires to each device and then connected the system. The wire's that were provided easily reached the speakers which were in all corners of my fairly large TV room. Some systems out there really tend to slack on the wire lengths but that was definitely not the case here. Once wired up, I powered it on and everything came to life.

I'll also make mention of where everything plugs in here. The entire rear shell of the receiver actually comes off revealing a second back to the receiver where all the connections are. Once you plug everything in you have to be careful to route your wires out the bottom opening of the rear shell.

Testing:
To test the HT-XQ100T I used it as my primary TV sound system for a full week. The TV was viewed heavily in that week by myself and many others. That gave it many solid hours of use every day during that time period.

Myself nor anyone else was let down by the sound quality of the HT-XQ100T after extensive use. The true surround capabilities of this system really shine when your watching anything that is natively encoded in 5.1 surround, such as a DVD. When I turned up the audio volume during the opening stand-off scene from SWAT, I truly felt like I was in the middle of the action. If you're source is only stereo (such as cable TV), then you can convert it to a surround mode using the remote. It won't be "true" 5.1 surround but it will separate the audio to all the different channels and still give a much superior sound from all the speakers instead of just the two speakers of regular stereo.
