Introduction:
Last week we looked at the SteelPad 5L from SteelSeries. This was a hybrid mouse pad composed of five layers giving it a very unique feel and surface compared to others. Today we've received the QcK heavy mouse pad from SteelSeries. This is a massive sized, very heavy cloth mouse pad. It's designed with everyone from gamers to regular computer users in mind.

In The Box:
(1) Steelpad QcK heavy

Specs:
* XXL-sized cloth mouse pad
* Heavy thickness eliminates uneven surfaces
* Ideal for low sensitivity mouse settings
* Compatible with all mice
* Specially designed non-slip rubber base
* 450 x 400mm (17,7 x 15,7in) - thickness 6mm (0,23in)
Features:
The minute I unrolled the QcK, it's XXL size was apparent, this pad isn't tiny. Measuring 450 x 200mm, it'll take up a nice size chunk of your desk. Fitting it on my desk's keyboard tray couldn't be done as the QcK heavy was far larger than it. It's height has a thickness of 6mm, which is a bit more than half a centimetre. That height, along with the overall size of it gives the pad a fairly heavy weight - hence the title QcK heavy. The extra height also makes this a very padded mouse surface, so using it for very long periods of time does not become uncomfortable on your wrists or hands.

The QcK heavy is specially designed to work with all mouse types (ball, optical, laser). So rest assured, if you like this pad it should work with your mouse just flawlessly.

Testing:
After extensive use, I was just as happy with the QcK heavy as I was when I first set my mouse on it. It's surface is excellent no matter what I was doing. Being as thick as it is, it can easily sit on uneven or bumpy surfaces but absorb the innormalities and leave you with a flat surface on top for your mouse. The thickness also makes it an extremely comfortable pad for your wrists and hands. It's response on my mouse was also very good, sometimes using cloth pads I feel like I have slower movement, but that was not an issue for the QcK heavy.
Conclusion:
The SteelPad QcK heavy is yet another great mouse surface in the SteelSeries line. It offers size, comfort and great performance at a price easily willing to be paid by any heavy computer user.
