Testing:
The first thing that stood out to me when I put the 3H headset on where the smaller ear cups - they were slightly uncomfortable. I eventually adjusted to the feeling of them on my ears, but I think a little less pressure or slightly larger ear cups would make the headset much more comfortable.

When it comes to sound, I didn't really know what to expect from a cheaper priced headset. Would it have that hollow and almost tin-like sound to it that most cheap headsets have? I was pleasantly surprised when the first sounds entered my ears from the 3H, it sounded great! My first test was a playlist of a large variety of music. The bass response on the headset is notable, with a very full and noticeable bass range. The 3H definitely did NOT have that hollow sound to it like most cheaper priced headsets! By the end of the playlist I was happy to say I loved how the 3H sounded for music.

When testing with DVD movies and games the 3H also kept up a great performance record, not letting me down in either. As with all headsets in this series, since it's designed primarily as a gaming headset it has a custom frequency response curve making it truly shine when playing games.

Conclusion:
For being priced as it is, the SteelSound 3H offers a solid competition in the world of budget minded headsets. It's sound quality was very good and a full bass range didn't leave things sounding hollow like some headsets in the similar price range do. Be it gaming, music or just general use I was very happy with the 3H's performance.

Rating: 7.5/10
