Introduction:
With the bus speeds on motherboards close to twice that what they were just a couple years ago, motherboard chipsets are becoming an increasingly hot component in computer systems. A year ago a small passive heatsink, no thicker than your little finger, was enough to sufficiently cool a chipset. Today, we're seeing copper fins and heatpipe systems that look more elaborate than some rollercoasters. For those looking to upgrade their chipset cooling solutions, perhaps to switch to a passive cooling method instead of active, or just to allow better overclocking, then the Noctua NC-U6 could be a great option to consider.
