However, from the minute you take the side cover off you notice that things inside are far different than your standard computer case. Both removable side panels have a sheet of thin, dense foam glued onto them covering nearly the entire inside area of the panels. The top and bottom of the case are also lined with this dense foam. NZXT didn't miss a single thing because even the backs of the bay covers have foam glued on them. With almost every large visible surface covered in foam, you can be assured this case will be a lot quieter than standard cases with huge reflective metal surfaces inside. But NZXT's promise to make this a quieter case doesn't end there! All of the removable toolless black brackets you see in the picture which hold in your bay devices also have a silencing feature. When removed, there is a small rubber washer behind each peg which decouples the bracket from being directly on the metal case and causing vibrations from components such as a spinning hard drive or DVD-Drive.

When looking around inside I was impressed to see that all the metal edges are very clean, and all the edges of the vertical bays are actually rolled over to be entirely smooth rounded edges. If you manage to hurt yourself on something like that, then I think this computer case's attention to detail and ascetics is the least of your worries.

This case includes a 120mm blue LED fan in the front and a regular black 120mm fan in the rear. It's nice to see that NZXT provides a nice array of cooling fans in this case. Most manufacturers these days only include one fan and expect you to buy all the others yourself. These fans are rated at an operational speed of about 1300RPM which is nice and quiet compared to most. By providing quieter fans with this case, NZXT is trying to have some control over the fan noise and therefore stick to the HUSH theme of case. It wouldn't make much sense to try and build a quiet case and then let the end user buy some cheap and noisy fans and just ruin the whole point of this beautiful design, now does it. Very thoughtful on the part of NZXT to make this a complete case solution.

The motherboard gets mounted on the motherboard plate using the screw-in style motherboard standoffs. Unfortunately the motherboard tray isn't removable which makes this task a little easier. I again wonder though if removable parts only creates more of a design concern for possible vibration and noise. This could be the reason for making everything solid and not providing a removable motherboard tray.
