Unlike traditional Multi Function Printer's, the Samsung SCX-4500 certainly has a design all it's own. The exterior is entirely black and all of the upward facing surfaces are a gloss black. This printer even includes a wiping cloth to shine up those occasional smudges.

The top houses the scanner bed and the strip down the top right side is where all the control buttons are located. An interesting thing about the SCX-4500 is that it now uses entirely touch sensative buttons, like a lot of Samsung TV's do. This makes for some unique styling. The only trace of the buttons are their outlines on the black surface. Many of these buttons are also illuminated when in use. Lighting is a dark blue colour - also very similar to what we've seen on some of Samsung's TV's and LCD displays.

Between the scanner lid and the control panel on the top of the printer there's a small see-through strip. When you're scanning, there's a blue LED under this strip that follows the scanner light. Essentially it trails down this strip so you can see the scanners position on the document. Does it have to show it's position? Probably not, but it looks darn cool.
