Installation: My only complaint here? Why doesn't Samsung include a USB cable with this Multi Function Printer? With USB being the only interface most peripherals use these days, I'm very surprised to see so few manufacturers including a cable! Considering I see these for sale at my local dollar store, it wouldn't cost much for them to throw one in and save the consumer the hassle of having to get one themselves, and pay the rediculous amount that some stores charge for cables.
Testing: Scan quality was excellent and the scan times were very average. For an entire 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper at full quality it took a couple minutes to complete. Of course the quality you chose will determine how long the final scan time takes; lower quality scans took only a few seconds. Print quality is the same as almost any laser printer considering most are an average of 600 dpi resolution. Print time was great and as mentioned earlier it has the ability to do 16 pages per minute. Copying is easy to do and is all done on the printer itself - no need for software to do this. The copier can also handle reduction/enlargement and darkness from the buttons on the control area. I particularly love the design of the small screen used to display the info on your copy job (such as copies, darkness, and size). Unlike traditional screens, this one is made entirely of a small rectangle of blue LEDs. Check out the picture below to see just how cool it looks! Conclusion: Pros: Cons:
