The fan cover at the bottom of the case is one feature that left me amazed, considering the reasonable price of this case. Remove that lower grill and the fan is removed along with it - with no cables! The fan plugs into a contact board, which then makes contact with some pins on the case itself. Thus, the fan is properly powered but can be removed very quickly with no cable worries. Behind the fan lays the magic, a built-in four-drive hot-swap rack! Each removable tray that you mount your hard drive to is made of black plastic and features rubber vibration absorbers on the four holes you put the screws through to mount the hard drive. These rubber mounts will certainly help to reduce the vibration caused by the spinning hard drive. As if the drive-rack isn't a cool enough feature in the first place, they've still taken the time to deck it out with all the little things users would want. On the internal side of the drive rack inside the case there is a back plate provided for 1 hard drive to dock into and receive power and SATA connections from. The SATA power connector in the dock for the drive is converted to just a molex plug to plug into your power supply for power - it would be nice if they would have made a SATA power plug here instead. The other four bays require you to provide your own SATA and power cables for, so unfortunately when you hot-swap these you'll have to leave some cable slack to get the drive out and unplug it. I did some research and found out that Silverstone does plan on releasing the hot swap backplate individually. It will be called the CP05 and should sell for somewhere around the $5 US price range.

On the top of the front bezel there are two USB ports, a firewire port, two audio ports and the reset button. The front ports are a great addition to any case and of course are very useful. My only complaint here is the location, being on the top could possibly be an awkward location for some to reach to, especially since the reset button could be easily bumped. Since many people have their computer case near the floor, it does make sense to have them on the top where they are clearly visible though. Personally, I would like to see these ports relocated to the front of the case and perhaps put under a small cover at the upper part of the bezel in the area where the power button is located. Don't get me wrong here, having these items on the top of the case is certainly better than putting them on the left or right side of the case near the bottom where I find they are much more of a bother, especially when you have a door. With this case having a reversible door how do you decide which side to put them one without making this a certain mistake should you flip the door to open the other way. Having them on the top is much better because of the door options available on this case, I merely suggest that maybe on the front behind a hidden door would possibly appear nicer. This is very minor, and the case does look great just the way it is too.

This case is pretty standard looking inside. There are tool-less clips on each 5.25" bay except for the bottom ones where the hot-swap module is located. On the back plate near the 5.25" bays is a hook shaped black clip covered in shrink wrap. This is a nice feature that I like in Silverstone cases which serves to hold the excess power supply cables to keep the internals of the case organized better. One last thing I want to mention are the back slot covers. Unlike most cases which just have solid covers, the KL01 has covers with huge mesh-like venting holes pressed in them. I thought this was an excellent idea, especially for users like me with passively cooled video cards. See the photos below to get a better understanding of what I mean. These vent slots allow air to flow through all of the unused slot covers on the back of your case. This case is VERY well vented from the front and the rear.
