Just like most well-designed laptop rests, the Attache has a four port USB hub built in the upper right corner. Three ports go out the back and the fourth is on the left side for a little easier accessibility when a laptop is on the Attache. The included USB cable that connects the Attache to the computer to power the hub and the fans also plugs into the left side of the hub. Beside the mini-USB port for this cable is an on/off switch for the fans.

Installation:
There is no installation on an accessory like this! Your OS should detect the USB hub and the fans will all be powered via USB power. The only thing for you to do is to find the position you find most comfortable. When sitting at a desk and sitting upright in a chair, it is recommended that your eyes line up with the top edge of the laptop screen.

Testing:
When I was using my laptop at my desk with a separate keyboard and mouse, it really surprised me how much more comfort can be achieved by simply elevating the screen to the proper height. I found that with the screen up higher I could sit more naturally in the chair and didn't have to slouch or bend to see things on the screen.

Even when I didn't have the advantage of a separate keyboard or mouse to use, if I put the Attache on the lowest setting and used it just to provide a little extra height. This allowed me to use the laptop's built-in keyboard and mouse but eliminated the strain of having to look down for extended periods of time at the monitor.
