Welcome To The Social Canada! For over a month now the Zune has been trying to make it's name in Canada; a long wait after being out in the USA for well over a full year. When I was given the opportunity to participate in a word of mouth marketing survey for the Zune, I was excited to get started with my free Zune pack that I received from matchstick.ca. In the following article I'll outline my overall experience with the Zune and the accessories that I was given.
I must say, I was hooked right from the initial experience (without even having used it yet). As I've tried to outline well in the pictures below, the packing on this device is probably the best I've seen yet and I've unboxed well over 200 products for this site. When the top cover is slid open you are immediately greeted with the 8gb Zune sitting in a nice alcove. After removing the middle cardboard insert, everything behind it is revealed. This includes all the manuals and the individually boxed earphones and USB sync/charge cable. The inside back of the box has a big and colourful “welcome to the social” greeting. This is the introduction to “the social” itself, a very large focus this product has that I will cover later. Unpacking the earphones and USB cable and the attention to detail is still very evident. The ends of the USB cable are safely protected with a pink/red plastic cover on both ends. The earphones ship with not only the traditional black foam covers but also pink and orange ones – a nice catch I'm sure many kids and teens will love.
