To Conclude
Despite a few shortcomings, the Zune has very quickly become my best friend of personal media players right now. It takes the small and compact design that everyone has come to love with other media players and it's packed it with significantly more features than those other players. Features like the 2-axis touchpad/button pad, FM radio and amazing menu system are just a few of the things I love about this player. For those feeling held back by the 4/8gb model, there is also the option to look into the larger capacity (and size) 80gb model. If you're shopping on the zune.net website you can also look into many sweet custom engraved pictures on the back of your player with the Zune Personals section. Although I have only experienced a mere two optional accessories for this player, I must say that they also were very impressive, especially the Premium Earphones that really exceeded my expectations for their reasonable price.

However, with mentioning all the good aspects of this player, there are still the bad points that will likely make some buyers reluctant. The Zune Desktop software still has a long way to go in my opinion. It looks great but it lacks easy functionality that I need when I want to just quickly update my player. I still find myself getting lost in it and often syncing songs and videos that I did not want. It would be nice to see Microsoft take this colourful concept but use a simpler visual design to it, perhaps something a lot more similar to other media management software that we are used to. On the player itself, I'd like to see some voice recording abilities, and perhaps axing the whole 3x3 rule when wirelessly sending songs to a friend.

However, don't let those very few and very minor personal annoyances of mine sway you away from this player. Go check it out at your local electronics store to see what I mean about how truly awesome the menus and navigation concept is on this player. I certainly plan on hanging onto my Zune for years to come and I hope that by taking the time to tell you a little more about my new toy that maybe I've helped to answer your questions about the Zune or give you that extra little push you needed to go buy one of your own - I'm certain you won't regret it.
