Now to tell you a bit more about all the many parts included in this kit.

The rubber fan mounts are something you've seen included with many of the silent-marketed fans we've reviewed around here. Instead of screwing the fan to the case which could cause vibration noise, these mounts float the fan just slightly off the case and since they're entirely rubber they help eliminate vibration noise transfer to the case. The two styles that are included do both open chassis fans and closed chassis fans. The difference between the two you ask? Closed chassis is when the screw holes on either side of the fan are connected by a plastic tunnel; you must use the really long screws to mount this kind of fan because you can't reach directly under the mounting hole on one end. Open chassis are when you can see the four mounting corners of the fan and can put a screw through just one side while leaving the holes on the other side entirely open (illustrated below). With 12 of each kind of mount included, you can mount up to 6 different fans using this system.

The hard drive mounting screws with rubber grommets are meant to be a quick solution to help eliminate some minor vibrations from hard drives. These screws go through a grommet first then through the case and into the drive. We know the only true solution to hard drive noise is to either float the drive using something like their DoubleTwin or to completely isolate it (which can be bad for heat), so don't expect wonders from these little guys!

The rubber case feet speak for themselves. Some cases ship with cheap plastic or metal feet which are terrible for sometimes causing an audible vibration noise that rattles through your desk (I used to get something like that on an old case whenever my hard drives would spin up!). The rubber case feet make a great replacement for those cheap case feet. They're made of thick rubber and are easy to install using the adhesive that's already applied on them.

The 20 cable ties speak for themselves! While you're busy silencing that fancy computer system of yours, why not clean up that wire mess that we all forget about :)
