Introduction:
We all know that when building a computer you really have two cooling choices: loud and powerful or whisper silent. Unfortunately the whisper silent option often comes with having to sacrifice a lot of performance for the ultimate silence. A company well known for their silent computing products and also not a stranger around this site is Nexus Technology. Having looked at many of their silent computing products in the past, we have always been very impressed with how well they really do keep to their claims. Today we're taking a dive into a new area of the Nexus product line that we haven't yet seen here; their CPU coolers.
The XiR-3500 is quite a beefy sized copper heatsink with 4 massive heatpipes that can be seen on the one side. It has a rather unique fin design with an even more unique open fan styling as well. With claims of operating from noise levels as low as 15dBA, I'm enthused to see just how well this unique design will perform.
