Installation:
The installation method and hardware used to install the Kama Bay Amp will vary depending on your situation. For that reason I won't go into detail about installation here, but it is very simple to do no matter where it is being installed.

Testing:
To test the Kama Bay Amp I had a set of floor standing Paradigm speakers here that it will be connected to.

Not knowing what to expect, I powered up the amp and started a slow turn of the volume dial. I figured ten watts wouldn't be too much compared to the previous 90W Yamaha amp that was driving those speakers. While playing some music through them, the clarity really jumped out at me. This wasn't some cheap amplifier, the quality of the Yamaha amp inside was quite evident. Nothing seemed muddy or really hyped sounding like some cheaper amplifiers tend to do (although these two factors are also affected by the speakers being used just as much as the amp). After listening for a while, I decided to see what kind of power this little thing really had. Bringing it up to full volume I had to actually back away from the big speakers because it was really quite loud. Keep in mind though, different sized speakers move different volumes of air. That said, not all speakers will be as loud as the big Paradigms I tested it on!

Conclusion:
For the size it is, the Scythe Kama Bay Amp is certainly a unique product. Offering just enough power to be very usable but still having a small enough form factor that it can be mounted inside your computer's drive bay or be used externally and still maintain decent looks. I was thourally impressed with the sound quality and features it had to offer. My only concern is the market calling for something like this. Unfortunately a standalone stereo amp isn't something that very many people seem to be looking for with amplified surround sound speaker sets starting under $100 these days. However, for those looking to use a nice pair of stereo speakers for their computer setup, as I did with the really nice Paradigm set I had, this amp can save you a lot of space compared to a traditional amp while offering identical or better sound quality!

Pros:
Great sounding amp
Compact size
Multiple uses both inside and outside of a computer
Included bundle saves you the hassle of shopping for the proper cables afterwards
Not a bad price for how it sounds and what's included

Cons:
Volume dial should be smooth
Some sort of speaker hookups on a slot plate would be handier for internal usage
Unfortunately only a very small market sector would actually call for a product like this
