The Kama Bay Speaker, or more technically known as the "SCBS-1000", is quite a simple unit. The front plate has four 1.25" concave metal speakers. Since it's a stereo system, these speakers are in groups of two for each side (left and right). Although the overall system power of 1.5W per side may seem low, keep in mind that some cheap TVs and cheaper priced computer speaker systems often only have 1.5-3W speakers. So in operation this probably won't be as quiet as you may think!

Also on the front panel you'll find two vertical ports at either side, an on/off switch and a volume dial. I was thinking how handy it would have been if Scythe would have put a headphone jack on the front panel that would disconnect the speaker signal when headphones were plugged in. However this wasn't a feature, maybe next time though!

The only other exterior features to the Kama Bay Speaker are the molex power plug in the back and an 1/8" audio input connection right beside that. It's good to see that they've kept the audio input plug to a standard sized plug so you can easily buy a longer cable if needed or build a custom cable to plug the speakers into other devices if you choose.

Since the Kama Bay Speaker must be plugged into an 1/8" audio signal jack to receive it's signal, Scythe includes both a male-male cable to do this as well as a slot cover for the back of your case with a large opening to run the cable through. My only comment with the slot cover was that the edges didn't feel perfectly smooth to me and if the cable were to ever get pinched on one of them I could predict possible cable damage. Maybe if a future revision of this product is made it wouldn't be a bad idea to put a rubber grommet around the hole in the slot cover just for that extra protection.
