Conclusion:
Addonics took on a reasonably empty portion of the NAS market when coming out with the Mini NAS. There are very very few 2.5" single-drive NAS enclosures on the market right now, which gives them a great edge with this one. For casual home users, or users who simply don't need a power NAS for their situation, a 2.5" model like the Mini NAS will not only take a small space on your desk, but it will also help keep some money in your pocket. For being so much cheaper than it's competitors, I was very pleased with the Mini NAS while using it. It offers a surprising amount of features for the price, much more than I would have expected. On the outside, the build quality is on par with the much more expensive routers and switches I use, and it doesn't stand out as looking inexpensive. It's major drawback will be the fact it lacks gigabit LAN, something quickly becoming a standard on most new NAS devices. Regardless, the Mini NAS is a wonderful low-cost NAS enclosure. Even if you choose to not use it for regular file storage it makes a wonderful addition on your network as a standalone torrent client, media server and print server.

Pros:
Inexpensive price tag
Packed full of features (media server, FTP server, print server, bit torrent client, samba server)
Compact size
Performed well for the price

Cons:
Lack of gigabit LAN
Noisy fan
