Features:
Physically, the M-Series is an entirely black enclosure with only two small gray logos printed on the front door portion. You'll see in the pictures that the top looks to be entirely mesh, but it is in fact a black plastic mesh on top of a solid plastic body. So it simply provides the looks of mesh but not the added cooling of actually having a mesh top.

Spinning things around to the back, the connections from left to right are DC in, E-SATA and USB 2.0. When you're running it as a USB enclosure, both power and data are handled through a single double-ended USB cable (you may not need both USB plugs in all situations). Since E-SATA does not provide it's own power the enclosure is powered via a separate USB to DC cable when using E-SATA. To keep things portable, no matter what interface you choose to use on the enclosure it can be entirely powered through a PC's USB port so no AC adapter is required; always a huge plus for portability.

The included carrying pouch is a nice touch, I was pleased to see it wasn't just a cheap single-layer material pouch either!

Installation:
As I mentioned in the introduction, drive installation on this enclosure is entirely tool-less. Using F.I.T, or 'Fast Installation Technology' as they call it, the front of the enclosure opens down, you slide your drive in, then close it up to secure things in place. The only "tool" you touch along the way is a small metal stick to reach in the hole and push the release button for the bezel. This tool is secured on the bottom of the base, as pictured below for you to see. This was one area I wish Eagle Tech would have improved upon because there seemed like so many easier ways to release that bezel than having to reach in a tiny hole with a paper-clip-like device.

After the drive is installed all that's left is to gather the appropriate cables for the interface you'll be using and connect it to your system!
