Features: The front of the enclosure has a rubber strip with the InWin name embossed in it. This rubber strip is actually the front portion of the large rubber skin inside the enclosure which holds the hard drive. This rubber skin not only gives the enclosure a water resistant design, but InWin also certifies it to be safe to withstand the shock of a two meter drop! InWin does claim the enclosure to be military standard MIL-STD-810F certified for it's ruggedness.
On the back, the rubber strip is seen again, this time with a small lift-down flap which covers the USB and power plugs. There's also a small hole in this rubber where a blue LED will shine through when the enclosure is powered up. This light will flicker accordingly with the drive read/write cycles.
On top of the enclosure, in the back right corner, you'll see the RFID reader. This illuminates with an LED when an RFID tag is passed over it and it successfully or unsuccessfully reads it. The enclosure will also emit a beep when a tag is swiped to acknowledge it being read. The Ammo is based around the INMAX Corporation IM7206 chip. This chip is a SATA to USB2 controller chip with integrated RFID support. To protect your drive, it encrypts the data using AES 128-bit encryption. Here's some more detailed specifications about this chip from the manufacturer:
Two RFID tags are also included. One is a round, red, key-chain dongle and the other is a very authentic looking military-style dog tag (fits the theme well!).
