The RX355-X2 is a very unique looking hard drive enclosure. The mere shape and curves used in designing the body make it much different than the usual rectangular hard drive enclosures we are all used to seeing. If you want to know the first association I made when I took it out of the box then use Google and search for a picture from the Alien movies - their head is very similar looking to the shape of this enclosure I thought! The entire body of the case is a gloss piano black colour, with a blue LED bar running vertically down the front center.

There is a 50mm fan located on each side of the enclosure directly across from each other to keep things symmetrical looking. I thought that two fans of this size were a little overkill for a single drive enclosure, especially when it comes time to evaluate just how much noise they are going to make. I'm sure with the right ventilation designs, the manufacturer could have gotten away with passively cooling this enclosure.

Swinging the enclosure around to the back and you'll see the connectors all run vertical to each other and are slightly inset from where the sides of the enclosure come back. From the top down you'll see the AC adapter connector, an on/off switch, a USB connector and finally the E-SATA connector.
