Installation:
The RM-8500 is about as plug and play as it gets - no installation required! Simply plug in the USB receiver and the mouse will function 100%! Of course it could always benefit from some enhanced drivers for further tweaking and button assigning, but in the art of keeping it simple and straightforward Rosewill opted not to do this.

Some translation here and there could be improved on, making the manual easier to follow for those who may not be strong with english.

Testing:
When I first installed the RM-8500 I was quick to notice how snappy and sensitive the 1600DPI resolution was. Certainly great for gaming or working where real precision is needed from the extra sensitivity. I went to switch the DPI settings and realized there was no quick button or switch to do this! After consulting the printed manual I was left rather confused when the only mention of how to switch the DPI setting was a picture of a hand on the mouse that didn't clearly say anything to me... After checking the online manual, it turns out the printed manual is missing the line above this picture that instructs you to press the left and middle buttons simultaneously to change DPI settings.

After I had that figured out, I can say that I had a great experience with this little mouse considering it's reasonable price! My only other minor complaint is that I felt the side mounted back/forward buttons should be swapped, to feel a little more natural.
