Testing:
Previous to receiving this TV I had read online where a lot of users were raving the LN52A750 for having great black levels. Although we don't see many manufacturers outright advertising how "good" their black levels are - this can actually be one of the biggest factors to having a great looking image. When black levels are accurate and blacks really ARE black, not a washed-out black, then the image has a whole new level of depth to it. One of the first shows I viewed when I first fired up the TV was one of my favorite Canadian police shows, Flashpoint. Right away the black uniforms jumped out at me and looked real. The colour intensity in the bright city shots of Toronto and the colourful sirens also left me very happy with the performance of this TV. After a full weeks worth of using this TV and watching all sorts of different content I was very impressed with the video performance.

One area that generally performs much the same on any TV is the built-in speakers. They usually aren't much when it comes to sound quality and volume and are often overlooked because most people use their own sound system or home theatre system. I'd like to point out that I actually raised an eyebrow when I first heard the speakers in the LN52A750. Sure, they aren't the loudest because they're only 10 watts but they actually surprised me with their range. Sounds didn't sound "hollow" like TV speakers usually do. I first noticed this when watching Flashpoint and observing that peoples voices sounded fairly natural! You can further tweak the TVs sound settings in the menu and even turn on SRS TruSurround HD if you like the emulated surround sound effect.

Conclusion:
Overall, from the perspective of a guy who isn't a home theatre junky, rather a computer/gadget junkie, I can say that the Samsung LN52A750 left me very impressed. It's performance was wonderful and the panel did a great job of displaying vivid and intense colours without sacraficing outstanding black levels. If 52" is too big or expensive for you, this model is also available in 40" and 46" variants - all having the same wonderful features that the 750 series brings with it. The extra goodies like Internet@TV, USB media support (with DivX) and DLNA really help to cut back the need for a dedicated HTPC - although the DLNA needs to be less dependant on Samsung's software to win in my books. If you're after a new LCD TV and want something higher up in the mid-range offerings, I'd certainly recommend checking out the Samsung 750 series at your local home electronics store.

Pros:
Stylish design (as is the same with all the latest Samsung TVs)
Incorporating the Internet@TV, DLNA and USB media support makes this a great digital media center TV
240Hz technology
Excellent performance
Great black levels

Cons:
No swivel base like the 650 series
