A fairly unique feature of this TV is the pre-loaded content library. Just as it sounds, the TV itself has a small library of photos, games, recipes, exercises/massages and children's content. I thought the photos feature was well done, you can choose between artwork, landscapes or "party" slideshows. Each slideshow will loop indefinitely along with the appropriate mood of instrumental music. When you're not watching TV this is an excellent way to set a great mood in any room and to avoid having a big black TV hanging here with nothing on it! The rest of the content is fairly self explanatory; the recipes give you cooking instructions for starters, main courses and desserts with pictures that will certainly make you drool. The games, kids activities and exercises will provide lots of great ways to spend your leisure time while staying fairly close to that big comfy couch you bought to accompany the new television. In addition to plenty of other inputs, which we'll talk about shortly, I'd like to point out the USB connection that this TV has. Using Samsung's "Wiselink" feature this USB connection allows you to connect digital media players, memory sticks and cameras to the TV for better viewing. This is handy for things like showing off those photos you just took at your party before the guests leave without having the hassle of downloading them to a computer first. Rather than listing off each individual input and output this TV has I've placed a picture below for you to see for yourself. The only part that's hard to see is the side inputs which include HDMI, USB, composite and a headphone jack (you'd definitely want to use a headphone extension for this one).
The audio setup on the LN55A960 includes two rear-firing 15 watt speakers. By using the built-in SRS Trusurround XT sound enhancement along with the EQ, you can achieve a fairly decent sound from these speakers. Although if you're buying a TV of this size you likely won't skip out on a getting a great sounding home theatre system with it!
