Conclusion:
It may be expensive, but if you're looking for a rock-solid LCD TV then make sure you take the time to check out the Samsung LN55A950. The LED backlighting not only saves power, but it also gives a huge dynamic contrast ratio and blacks blacker than any standard LCD TV can produce. I was also particularly fond of the built-in content library and hope that Samsung will continue to build and develop this feature in future TV models. If you're after a great looking and great performing LCD TV that really sets itself apart from the crowd, then the LN55A950 from Samsung would be a worthy competitor.

Pros:
Exquisite looking design
LED backlighting with local dimming (improves contrast ratio and greatly reduces power usage)
Pre-loaded content library is a nice feature, I especially loved the slideshows as they added room decoration
Great performance! The picture quality was excellent in my opinion
Plenty of inputs and HDMI connections

Cons:
One of the more expensive TV's in it's range (mostly due to the LED backlighting)
