Installation:
The frame portion of the SPF-85P really has no installation to it - basically plug and go. For those wanting to use the frame as a USB monitor then you'll find all the installation files on the included CD. However, I always go to the manufacturer's website and grab the latest drivers. For those trying out the latest Windows 7 Beta, DisplayLink does provide a beta version of their Windows 7 driver to the public.

Testing:
After spending an afternoon making sure I heavily used every feature the frame had I can say that I was left very happy with it's performance. Running at a resolution of 800x600 puts it a step ahead of most cheap frames on the market and allows not only for the extra detail to be seen but also for the comfortable use as a USB computer monitor if you choose to do so. Before loading it up with my personal photos, I included some pictures below of the demo photos that ship on the frame as I felt they highlighted the overall display quality very well.

Conclusion:
With this frame being priced not too much higher than most good quality digital photo frames on the market, I was left very impressed with what Samsung's SPF-85P had to offer. It handled all the usual digital photo frame features with ease and quality but also added some extra goodies like the alarm clock option and the DisplayLink USB monitor function. Around a home office or bedroom I can see all these extra features helping to save desk space in a stylish way and for those looking to simply display their digital photos on a stylish frame - the SPF-85P does that very well too.

Pros:
Great quality display
Very sleek and stylish design
Built-in alarm clock feature (with great clock/calendar displays)
Built-in battery
Can be used as a USB monitor (DisplayLink)

Cons:
Slideshow clock overlay option needs some work
I wouldn't mind seeing a dual alarm option to build on the great alarm clock ability of the frame
No compact flash card support
