Installation:
Being an MTP compliant device, the P3 will work with most systems right out of the box. For those wishing to make their media managing and syncing fast and easy, you may also wish to install the Samsung EmoDio media managing software.

Testing:
One really nice feature of the P3 is the built-in 0.8w mono speaker. It may not seem like a lot, but I was quite surprised at just how good it did sound and how loud it was capable of going. It was great for when I wanted to listen to some music or the radio by myself around the house because I could simply set it on my desk and let it play - no need to bother with bulky headphones or earphones getting in the way while I worked. Of course it also makes it easy to share your songs with your friends without sticking your earphones in their [sometimes dirty] ears. Don't worry about your stereo songs sounding poor in mono either - most professionally mixed songs are checked at various points in the mixing stage to make sure they will also sound alright on a mono speaker too, so the P3 isn't "cutting out" much of your song quality.

Of course you can't put in a vibration feedback system without using it for more than just touch response. "Vibe Woofer" is a feature you can enable in playback mode which uses the vibrations as a sort of "sub woofer" that goes along with your music. It's surprisingly accurate with keeping up to the beat of the music and due to the soft nature of the vibrations, it doesn't get too annoying to leave on in your pocket either.

Actual music playback quality on the P3 was excellent - I was quite impressed. The DNSe 3.0 engine is actually very useful and tasteful sounding. I find some "sound enhancement" features on many MP3 players to simply butcher the sound of my music, but Samsung has really hit the nail on the head with the DNSe 3.0. It seamlessly integrates into your music playback and offers excellent sound enhancement that is useful on almost all genres of music. The ability to access most major features in playback mode with 2-3 touches makes things fast and easy. The ability to quickly add your music in up to six playlists on the fly means you can always come back to those favourite tunes another time.
