Introduction:
With many online portals bringing media to your PC over the web, and the growing popularity of network attached media devices, HTPC's are no longer just a fancy PVR but a truly central home media hub. With the abundance of Intel Atom and Nvidia ION systems starting to flood the market, you can easily build a high definition HTPC for the fraction of the cost of building the same system with desktop PC components. Cases for HTPC's are all over the market and come in every shape, size and form factor you can imagine. One of the most popular form factors for these systems is still Micro-ATX because it will easily work with all those standard size components you have laying around. When you're building a HTPC to go below your expensive new setup, you don't want a cheap looking case. I've always loved the Silverstone HTPC cases because they've got a build quality like no other. Their solid painted steel bodies and brushed aluminum look like a million dollars sitting below your brand new 52" LCD TV. Today I have a chance to check out one of the latest in their HTPC line, the Grandia GD04.
