Features:
Unpacking is nothing extreme, the installation components are in a small box inside the main box, and the cooler itself is held in a plastic casing that easily pops apart. The main Heatsink is a total 40 aluminum fins high, putting it just slightly over 120mm high. Being able to accommodate a 120mm cooling fan, it would obviously be 120mm wide as well! Four large heatpipes take care of transferring the heat from the CPU up to the fins for dissipation. These heatpipes use a similar design as the Sunbeam HOC coolers I've reviewed, that is, they flatten together to a solid copper base at the bottom and directly contact the core. There's no aluminum or copper transfer plate here! On the opposite side of the base you'll see a mini-heatsink. This helps take some excess heat off the pipes at their hottest point - the base. The top fin of the heatsink has a decorative Tranquillo nameplate on it.
