Testing:
I had a solid weekend of play time with the U10 to see what it's all about and to experience it's two main functions.

Video - video results were good, but very dependent on the lighting conditions. Around the house, I found that although it's HD 1080 video, it's a very noisy HD 1080 video. When I stepped outside, or into a bright sunny room, noise did go down to a more acceptable level. Although these little pocket cameras are nice for their size, for about 2.5 times the size I'd probably look at something like the Samsung C10 myself. Being larger it has a much nicer lens, better video quality, and 10x zoom. Sure, it isn't 1080 resolution, but it's a much higher quality 720!

Pictures - Pictures were 10 megapixels by definition, but the quality wasn't anything near my Canon 10mp, as to be expected of course. In well lit areas, taking into account the slight graininess of the pictures, poor colour definition and absence of flash, they were still better than I expected from a lens of this size! Overall menu navigation and ease of use of the U10 was excellent. It's a very simple, straightforward and easy to use camera. You can easily tuck it away in your pocket and have it ready for the action the minute you see it happening.
